Molecula Energy exists to create truly carbon-neutral synthetic fuels that can power modern vehicles without compromise. Our goal is simple: replace fossil gasoline and diesel with clean, sustainable alternatives — without forcing drivers or industries to change their engines.
Our Story
The transport sector accounts for nearly a quarter of global CO₂ emissions. While electric vehicles are expanding, billions of existing cars, trucks, and ships still run on fossil fuels — and will for decades to come. We started Molecula Energy with a belief that a different kind of fuel can bridge the gap: a fuel made from air, water, and renewable energy, but identical in performance to today’s gasoline. This vision combines breakthrough chemistry with real-world practicality: clean fuels that drop directly into existing infrastructure.
Our Technology
Molecula Energy uses a hybrid approach to produce clean fuels:
- Fischer–Tropsch synthesis to convert renewable hydrogen and CO₂ into synthetic hydrocarbons.
- Hydrocracking to turn the heavier waxes from FT into high-octane gasoline.
- Direct Air Capture to source CO₂ directly from the atmosphere, ensuring net-zero emissions.
This dual-pathway system means we can produce high yields of clean gasoline and diesel while maintaining total carbon neutrality.
Our Vision for the Future
We are committed to scaling our technology over the coming years:
- 2025 – Lab-scale prototype proving the process.
- 2026 – Pilot-scale production and certification.
- 2027 – Market entry with first commercial plant.
- 2030 – Multi-plant production network across Europe.
